| 2009 Participant in a Tate display of early work.
To cover my current interests - and leaving aside earlier ones (began in 1957, see archives) - I would divide them into three categories :
1) Post-war art politics - see my 2003 book Low Frequency (see publications).
2) In work, a "back to the future" appearance of Bauhaus alphabets (abstract form and colour on the surface) which began via computer work in the 90s using a collage technique from my student days.
3) Play : with fragments of geometry in moments of "Capture" emedded in the counter forces of colour. The computer allowed a large gamme of pursuit of the unexplored and a rare freeze to translate onto canvas. (New observations re the electronic medium need demonstrating in action.) In 2002 I ceased all computer work and switched to hand and eye in the studio, without any kind of assistance (computer or human). These works are still in progress.
Note : I prefer now to describe myself as a plastician.
