Commissioned by Chamberlin, Powell & Bon (during the planning stage), the Barbican was inaugurated in 1983. Two walls + three storeys consisting of two facing murals connected by glass / mirrored planes creating an internal of illusionistic spaces.

In 2004 there were plans to destroy the work in a building re-vamp. DoCoMoMo U.K. and English Heritage stepped in to protect the work.

Update :
Arbitration is being sought by the artist in respect of the Centre's policy of denying payment of artists' time for restoration work. In this case 10 days were neccessary for renovation and correction previous "restoration" errors.
